The lighthouse keeper

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This is my piece of writing.  its a lighthouse keeper who

hears a smash and the light of the lighthouse trend off but I cant spoil it  hope you enjoy. 

The lighthouse keeper

One late night as the lighthouse was shining, the lighthouse keeper slowly wrote then he heard a smash! The light of the lighthouse had turned off. Quickly and quietly he marched up the stairs half the way up he grabbed his tool kit and went up to the light. Carefully he put down his tool kit and lifted the light up. Depressingly he tripped up on his toll kit... and smash the glass broke. Depressing as it was, what made it worse was that there was a boat coming. Fastly he sprinted  down the stairs like a cheater.Madly he opened the door... lighting was coming from everywhere. The people have come to help. From the end it all came out for the boat to not crash because the villagers came and lit the way for the boat.

my Margaret mahy playgroud Town Trip Recount

 My Margaret Mahy Playground Town Trip Recount 

 On Thursday the 20th of May Tumu hub set off to go to Margaret Mahy playground. I was excited to get there! It takes 15 minutes to get there. When we got to Margaret Mahy playground I got off the bus. Crazy! First we went to the first activity which was the waka. Some activites we did were feeding eels and going on a waka and looking at the at Māori mats

You can go to Victoria Square and look at old Māori statues and maps.

My favourite part of the trip was the waka because I liked looking at the native plants. I like rowing and I had a lot of fun!!

Something I learnt was that the playground made it like a place with farms and Mountains.

The thing I found the most interesting because I never knew Maori made patterns like this.

This trip has helped me with my PBL because it was really interesting to look at all the patterns and the playground form.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Sentence Expansion

We are learning about expanding sentences with more detail.

Oscar cried.

When: 10am on Tuesday

Where: lying on the grass at school

Why: someone kicked him

At 10am on Tuesday, lying on the grass at school, Oscar cried because someone kicked him.

They had an argument.

When: at lunch

Where:on the playground 

Why:because Alex stole his toy car

 At lunchtime,  in the playground they had an argument because Alex stole his toy car.

What do you think of my expanded sentences?

I learned that it can be easier to expand sentences and it is more interesting to expand sentences.
